Bragging Rights

I am happy to report that I have won this year's Bjorge NFL football pool!

This year Joel & I participated in an online competition to see who could pick the most NFL game winners each week. Only Joel & I were in this pool and we made our picks online so the other person wouldn't know which teams we were choosing to win.

I had participated in a similar football pool a few years ago with some former co-workers. In that pool, we played for a small money prize each week and then overall winners at the end of the season. One year I actually tied for first place overall with another co-worker!

For this year's Bjorge pool, we didn't have any money or prizes on the line...just Bragging Rights (that was the official name of our pool). So since I won, I thought I should be able to BRAG a bit!! (Joel if you want a chance to brag about anything on this blog at anytime, please say the word and I will allow you to be a guest writer.)

Before I brag too much, I should note that Joel was the leader in our pool for 10 straight weeks. On week 11, we were all tied up. By week 12, I slowly started to gain strength and inched up to first place. By the end of the regular season (week 17), I had won by 8 points over Joel (you get 1 point for each winning team you choose).

So - I have officially claimed my prize now...BRAGGING RIGHTS!!

We're on for next season, right?
