Chalkboard

My parents saved quite a few of the toys Allie & I had when we were younger - and now CJ gets to play with them! When we visited my parents for Easter, they had brought out the chalkboard, which was something new for CJ to try out. This chalkboard has quite a history - the blackboard is from Madison school where my Mom, Aunt LeAnn & Uncle Keith (I believe) went to elementary school. Madison school was right next to their house growing up, so my Grandma tells the story that she could watch the kids playing outside from her kitchen window. The kids also came home to eat lunch everyday. Isn't that neat?

Anyway, as I said, the blackboard is from their elementary school and my Grandpa made this chalkboard desk for Allie & I when we were younger. It's quite a family treasure!

CJ absolutely loved coloring on the chalkboard and sat at this desk quite a bit throughout the weekend. (We have more pictures from our Easter weekend - we just need to take them off our camera cards and sort through them!)
