Bike-a-Thon

CJ's daycare class had a bike-a-thon last Friday afternoon. Their goal was to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital Research and they did a wonderful job - their class raised just over $1,000!!!!! I was very impressed.

They rode their bikes for 30 minutes straight on Friday afternoon - parents/family members were invited to watch, so I went over and I'm so happy that I did. I surprised CJ when I got there (he didn't know I was going) and he had a huge grin on his face when I waved to him. That alone was worth the trip!

As you may have guessed, CJ was a fast bike-rider, but he was careful too (no mishaps). All week long in their daycare class they learned about bike safety and also why they were doing the bike-a-thon (to raise money for sick kids). CJ seemed to grasp the whole concept and for that we are grateful!

  1. Hi Christopher! We are very proud of you for riding in the bike-a-thon to raise money for very sick kids. That was a kind thing to do. It looks like you were having a good time too. We love you and hope you are feeling better too. Hugs to Mommy and Daddy too. Love, Grandpa Pete and Grandma LoAnn
