12:20pm - Joel at the finish line! Total ride time over the 2 days was 8 hours 30 minutes and average speed was 17 mph. Sunday morning there was some cloud cover, but part-way through Joel's ride the sun came out. It was quite warm just standing in the sun today. Joel said this year's ride was a great experience and it was great to have some normal temperatures (and not highs in the 90s like the previous rides Joel has participated in). CJ & I were standing at the finish line and cheered when he came in. At the end there was lunch provided by Famous Dave's and we all took a good nap this afternoon after we got home. Thanks for all of your support!
10:45am - 58 miles. More wind on the last stretch. Joel said he's going to take a good rest at this stop and then there about 15 miles left to the finish line. It sounded like he was getting a bit tired (understandably), but he should be done around 12:30pm, if not before. Yay!
9:15am - 41 miles. Over half done today!
8:15am - 22 miles. Another early morning on the road, but thankfully we all slept well last night. It's another beautiful morning for a bike ride!
