We had really nice weather at the lake this past weekend. CJ had a great time playing in the water and with some trucks in the grass (a neighbor brought them over). The dogs swam a lot and had a good time too.
We took two really long canoe rides and CJ did great both times. He sits in the front with me and Joel paddles. On the second ride CJ had a fun time throwing some little rocks into the lake. We pulled up a couple of reeds from the weed patch and CJ enjoyed holding those - he pretended that he was fishing and would even "catch" fish and then "eat" them. So cute!
I made a hot breakfast including pancakes and special thick-cut bacon that was in G&G's freezer. Delicious!
Grandpa & Grandma came out to visit us both afternoons and it was great to see them! Grandpa went fishing off the dock on Sunday afternoon and caught a few little fish - nothing to keep, but it sure got CJ interested.
Grandpa & Grandma - Thanks again for having the lake place for all of us to use. We love being out there and have made many wonderful memories throughout the years!
