We ate lunch after tubing on Saturday and then Joel & Dan stayed at Andes to ski, Alison had her first skiing lesson, and Jennifer & I took the little guys to the motel for naptime. Well, CJ took a short 15-minute nap on the way to the motel and then he wasn't about to sleep when we got there. I'm not surprised!
After Eli woke up from his nap, he & Jennifer came to our room for playtime. The kids were lining up puzzle pieces on this luggage rack. CJ is making a funny face!
We met the guys & Alison for supper and then Dan & Joel went back to Andes for some night-time skiing.
Saturday night Jennifer & I took the kids to the pool for swim time. After swimming and a shower, CJ had a cucumber snack before going to bed. I buy English cucumbers (they have a thin outer skin and the seeds inside are smaller) and cut them up in wedges. CJ loves snacking on these and over the course of the weekend, he ate almost one whole cucumber by himself!
CJ's bedtime went very smoothly (thankfully!) because of our busy day and lack of a regular afternoon nap. When I told CJ it was time to go to sleep, he gave me a kiss and said "goodnight Mommy," rolled over and went to sleep. I couldn't believe bedtime went so well - it was a terrific, but rare treat!

Sunday morning CJ was up at his regular time. After we ate breakfast, we all went to the pool for a swim. CJ had a terrific time swimming and splashing!

Sunday afternoon the guys took the kids tubing again and Jennifer & I went cross-country skiing. By the time we were done skiing, the kids were pretty tired and were ready to go home. We gave CJ a snack after getting back to the van and he was asleep before we got on the Interstate. I thought this picture was so cute - he fell asleep with his hand in his cereal bowl!
We had a terrific weekend and plan to make this an annual event.
