We had Dean & Kathy over for our Irish dinner on Saturday night. I was trying out new recipes (again), but I'm happy to report that they turned out well!
Irish Soda Bread (very simple to make - just mix ingredients together, shape on the pan, & bake - no kneeding or rising since there is no levening in the dough)
Beef & Guinness Stew - all of the Guinness cooks off, but it makes a wonderful broth
The finished stew - yum!
After dinner we played downstairs. Awhile back CJ found these foam blocks (from packaging inside a box) and thought they would make great hats.
CJ got Grandpa Dean to wear a "hat" too - what a great sport!
