We invited Mom & Dad Bjorge to join us for some good eats. I had fun figuring out food to make for our super bowl spread:
* Kathy brought fruit and several dips, including a delicious mocha chocolate dip (I could eat that dip as if it were chocoalte soup!)
* veggie kabobs
* chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips
* little smokies, what party would be complete without these?
* homemade soft pretzels (I love making bread items from scratch - it seems like it's always an experiement but a wonderful feeling when it turns out. After forming the pretzels, the recipe said to boil them in baking soda water for 30 seconds and then bake. I was happy with how they turned out!)
* shrimp wrapped in brown sugared bacon (sprinkle the bacon with brown sugar before baking in the oven)
A closeup of those wonderful pretzels!
* Joel made a queso dip with browned hamburger, cheese dip & black olives. Serve warm with Hint of Lime tortilla chips.
CJ didn't watch much of the football game, which didn't surprise me. Grandma Kathy played several board games with him and later I joined in when the crayons came out. Kathy & I kept on coloring even after CJ lost interest. I think we colored more than CJ did, we had a good chuckle about that!

Football season has come to a close. Now we're looking forward to baseball season starting in a few months!

We love all these blog posts and especially the cute pictures of our favorite little almost 4 year old! Love ya CJ! Hugs and love to you all. Mom and Dad (Grandpa Pete and Grandma)
