Lake Weekend

We spent time at the lake one weekend recently. The Janes family joined us for jet skiing, swimming, tubing, and time at the sandy beach. It was a bit cooler than we would have liked it to be, but we all still had fun! After swimming we went to Ole & Lena's for pizza (it has become a yearly tradition).

We all took turns riding the jet ski and tubing (even the parents had their turn tubing). The kids had a blast collecting rocks and shells at the sandy beach. While I was taking the first group of people back to the cabin from the sandy beach, the two dads stayed at the sandy beach. See what they made with the rocks & shells that the kids found? Funny!

The next day Joel, CJ & I went to Dent for brunch. When we were kids my grandparents would take us to the Farmer's Table restaurant there -- the restaurant is still there but under a different name. The food was great! After brunch Joel started on the lake deck project (replaced the nails with screws, among other things) and CJ & I spent the day together. We went to Fergus to a park, saw the big Otter, made a visit to G&G Anderson's house, and did a few errands. When we got back to the lake we took the jet ski out and went to the sandy beach for swimming. Again it wasn't as warm as we would have hoped, but it was fun.

CJ & I drove over to the point and into the bigger bay at the lake. There were lots of pelicans lined up!
