10 Years

Ten years ago today Joel proposed to me - can it be that long ago? The proposal started when Joel sent me on a scavenger hunt - it was a great trip down memory lane. The first stop was at MSU where we first met. Other stops included the dorm where I lived when we were first dating, a park where we had a picnic, and a video store to pick up a movie on hold (As Good As It Gets) - the movie we went to on our first date. The last stop was back at my apartment. There were flowers lining the stairs and when I opened the apartment door, Joel was there kneeling with a ring in his hand! After I said yes, we got all dressed up and went to a nice restaurant to celebrate. Joel is somewhat of a romantic, isn't he? It's great to think back on these special memories!
