A few weeks back we went on a guided nature walk at Buffalo River State Park. It was a gorgeous day to be out. We had the opportunity to observe many types of prairie plants and grasses.

The woman in the white shirt was our leader
(during the school year she's a science teacher at an elementary school)

Our guide found wild onions growing along the path. She said they were completely edible and had a very mild onion taste. She asked if anyone wanted to try eating one and CJ said he would. He's been an onion eater from early on (remember when he was eating them raw when we were making calzones several years ago?).
