Here is one of CJ's latest clever tactics:
One evening Joel told CJ that they were going over to Grandpa & Grandma's house for a visit. CJ said that he wanted to play at Grandpa and Grandma’s, but that Joel wasn't supposed to stay at their house. Joel was supposed to go home and “do stuff” and then pick him up later.
So when they went over, CJ said again that he didn’t want Daddy to stay, but then Kathy told CJ that they wanted Joel to stay. Then Kathy figured out why CJ wanted Joel to leave – he gets more treats when we're not there!
Joel said that when he was sitting in the living room with Dean, he heard CJ quietly ask Kathy if he could have some popcorn (Joel thinks CJ didn't want him to hear).
Oh for cute! It's a grandparent's job to let their grandchildren have a few extra treats, right?
