Fondue Party

We had a terrific fondue party on New Year's Day! We had originally planned it for New Year's Eve, but the blizzard prevented us from driving across town (yes, it was THAT bad).

Several years ago, Dean, Kathy, Joel & I went to the Melting Pot fondue restaurant, so we thought it would be fun to recreate our meal at home. We all thought the fondues turned out really well and agreed we would do it again!

Mom Bjorge prepared and marinated the beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp for the meat fondue (cooked in oil). She also made some tasty sauces for dipping.

I made the cheese fondue with Gruyere and Ementaller cheeses. Who can turn down melted cheese?

Our dessert course was a chocolate mocha fondue with many great items for dipping in the chocolate (angel food cake, bananas, clementine oranges, marshamallows, etc.).

IT WAS DELICIOUS!!
