I have some funny, cute, and heart-felt phrases to share from CJ.
Last night while we were eating supper at the table, CJ kept coming up with jokes. They were very random and he made all of them up on his own. It didn't take too long for us to notice a pattern developing - every single joke either involved popcorn or gravy (I can't remember the last time we ate gravy). Anyway, he was having such a fun time telling us jokes. Yep, this kid likes an audience! After a bit CJ said it was my turn and then Joel's turn to make up jokes. I couldn't remember a real joke for the life of me, so I made up a real lame one. Joel actually had a few funny ones to share!
Tonight when I was putting CJ to sleep, I had him say a thank you prayer. Here's his prayer (he was quite serious and I don't believe he intended it to be funny): "Dear Jesus, thank you for popcorn...and for food...and for delicious healthy food...and for donuts...and for taking care of us. Amen."
I told CJ that I bet his prayer made Jesus smile. Then he asked me how Jesus could hear our prayers. I told him honestly I don't know how He can, but I know that Jesus loves to hear us pray. Then CJ said "Mommy, maybe we can ask Jesus when we get to heaven! And also, ask Noah how he built that huge ark."
Oh how I love to hear and see CJ's little faith growing! I can't think of anything more amazing for our boy!
It sounds like we have another comedian in the family--there's a mutant gene floating around somewhere! What great stories!
