Dan & Jennifer invited us out to their house for dinner and it was great to see them and catch up! I always enjoy seeing how other people decorate their homes, especially at Christmastime. Dan & Jennifer have a beautiful tree in their living room, right next to their fireplace (complete with stockings).
The kids played well together, so we were actually able to have some parents-only discussions. Hopefully this is a sign of great things to come!

Toward the end of the evening, CJ was following Alison around and wanted to do everything she was doing. At one point, Alison walked back to her room, then CJ followed, and then Eli. It was adorable to watch the little parade of kids! When it was time to go home, we told CJ to say goodbye. He went around and gave everyone hugs. Then he walked up to Alison and said, "I want a kiss." She obliged nicely and CJ gave her a kiss on the cheek. CJ also gave Jennifer a kiss on the cheek. I guess CJ is getting the hang of the way we do goodbyes in our family!
