Last week I took two days off from work to stain our fence. It is one of those projects that kept being put off, so I volunteered to tackle it. I had beautiful weather for working outside and I'm thankful for that. I went through 12 gallons of stain and it was fun to help transform the appearance of our backyard (in addition to the new deck & patio set!). The project went really well, but I was pretty stiff & sore after doing this much physical labor two days in a row. My legs were the most sore of all and I could barely walk down the steps the next morning. I even resorted to backing down the steps. Yes, it was that bad and I was laughing the whole way down the stairs!

Joel power-washed the fence a few days before I stained - already it looked so much better!

Tah-dah, the finished product!!

The pups kept me company both days

Joel purchased a small shed to put in our backyard and he & Dean put that together. It will be a great spot for more storage!
Congratulations on getting the fence all done. It was a big job as you said but the end result is a nice improvement to the backyard. And the storage shed will come in very handy and help make more room in the garage. Good for you guys to get these projects done this summer. What's next? Mom B
