Shedd Aquarium

Our first morning in Chicago we met the Janes family for a trip to Shedd Aquarium. Joel & I enjoyed the aquarium so much when we were in Chicago two years ago and we knew the kids would be entertained too.

We attended a 4-D movie of Happy Feet. It was a short movie with special surprises throughout, like snow flying around in the theater, being sprayed with water in the face, and being poked in the back of our chairs (all to coincide with events happening in the movie). It was great fun!

There was a special exhibit on jellyfish - I found them to be incredibly interesting to watch

We spent a lot of time sitting by the shark tank (floor to ceiling) - it was so neat!

The boys stood in front of the shark tank and were playing a game - we would tell them when a shark was swimming behind them. Then they would turn around and be surprised!
