Waiting for Breakfast

Our last full day in Chicago we went to a restaurant called Yolk. Dan & Jennifer had gone there for breakfast a few mornings before and had recommended it to us. It was a 45-60 minute wait to get in, but I'm glad we waited to eat there. The menu was incredibly interesting and the food was delicious!

While we waited, CJ & I went to the south end of Grand Park next to the restaurant on Michigan Avenue. This section of the park has 106 iron sculptures of legs. It looks a bit odd, but it was a good place for CJ to run around while we waited to get into Yolk.

Check out this high-caloric breakfast I ordered:
Red Velvet Cake French Toast!!!

It was so rich that I didn't use the butter or maple syrup that came with it.

And yes, it had a delicious cream cheese frosting filling!

(It is super fun to not have to eat healthy all the time...especially on vacation.)
