Day With Friends

This past weekend we had a terrific day with the Janes family! It started very early (around 6am) for Joel & Dan -- they met south of town and rode about 55 miles and met us in Rothsay. This is the third year in a row they have done this. The wives & kids meet them at the prairie chicken and then we all drive to our family lake cabin.

We had a beautiful day weather-wise for a lake day: temps in the 90s, lots of sun, and not much wind. We spent a good share of the day in the water swimming and had a wonderful time!

Dan found a school of baby fish - the kids were interested in holding them for a bit...and then Dan put them back where he found them.

After swimming all afternoon, we had worked up a good appetite for pizza at Ole & Lena's. It was a terrific day together with friends!
