CJ as Spider-Man

Our weather tonight was terrific for trick-or-treating! CJ picked out a Spider-Man costume at the store -- we think he liked the puffed up muscles. :-)

CJ also wore his costume Sunday evening to our church's trunk or treat event and also at his after-school program today. He had fun being Spider-Man!

He didn't wear his mask most of the evening. One of our neighbor girls (less than 2 years old) got scared when she saw CJ's mask when she came to our door, so after that he wasn't as keen on wearing the mask. CJ was an incredibly polite kid tonight - we coached him a few times, but for the most part he would say "happy halloween" when he went to someone's door and then looked the person in the eye and said "thank you." A few times he was so proud of himself that he would yell to us as he was walking away that he had remembered to look the person in the face when he was saying thank you. We are proud of our big 5-year old kid!

 

We stopped at Grandma & Grandpa's house and they had some 

special treats for us, including caramel apples!

Wow - a lot of candy! (I guess Joel & I get to eat some too.)
