Wine & Dine

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to attend a fundraiser for The Village Family Service Center. I have been on their Board for a year and it is wonderful to be able to support their work in this way. The event is called Wine & Dine -- it was a very elegant evening and it was fun to get dressed up.

The main event was the 5-course dinner (each had a wine paired with the food). There was also a silent auction and a live auction. We had fun bidding on the silent auction items (the live auction items were way out of our price range!) and actually got to bring a few things home. One fun item we brought home was a day at the Redhawks package...it includes tickets, behind the scenes tour of the stadium, the chance to throw out the first pitch, etc. We will enjoy that next spring!

We had a great group of people at our table of 8 -- Nancy (Board member & her significant other), Matt & DeAnn Hallaway, and Dan & Jennifer Janes. It was a great evening out with couples and we are already looking forward to going next year!
