I mixed up a batch of Irish soda bread earlier this week. It is so simple to make, as I was making it I realized that I should make this more often! I just need to remember to buy buttermilk for the recipe, since I usually don't have that on hand.
So if you're interested in making homemade bread, this is a very simple recipe to start with. Basically you dump the ingredients into your mixer and then shape it into a round loaf on the baking sheet. Bake and your bread is ready! The best part about it is the dough doesn't need time to rise, like most bread recipes require. Trust me, it is difficult to mess up with this one. Give it a try!
