Tumble Tots

CJ was in a tumble tots gymnastics class this winter. It was terrific for him to have an activity to do one night a week and I can definitely tell that he improved several skills during this session. Last year during the parent-tot class, the parents assisted the kids. This year, the kids went in a room by themselves with their coaches and the parents could watch outside the room via TV. My friend / co-worker Jessica brought her daughter to gymnastics too at the same time, so we had good chats in the waiting area while the kids were in their class. The very last class was parents' night, where we sat in chairs along one side of the room to observe as our kids went through their routines. It was so special and fun to watch!!

Lining up to walk down to the pit

Hi cutie! Later during the class, CJ came over to us a few times to give us hugs & kisses. So sweet!

CJ loves jumping off the trampolines and landing in the foam pit

Taking a big leap into the pit

The "Jump" warm up song

Stretching time

The table - I remember last year CJ had trouble doing this on his own, now he can do it all by himself!

On the trampoline

Doing the crab walk

Watching the coach go through the instructions for the station - CJ looks so cute lounging around!

Balance beam work

Sommersault

The ribbon ceremony - each child did a sommersault
and then a big "tah-dah" up on the platform

Tah-dah! It was a great gymnastics season. Now we're looking forward to playing outside once this snow melts!

  1. Hi there! Thanks for sending all the pictures and videos of CJ at gymnastics! Christopher... you look like you are such a good listener for the teachers and you act so nice and respectful in class! Good deal! I'm sure the teachers are so happy when the kids listen and follow the directions too! You can really do the tumbling and the balance beams stuff! I'm sure it is fun to do!
We will talk to you all soon! We love you all so much! Love, Grandpa Pete and Grandma
