Royal Wedding

I watched part of the royal wedding this morning and it was so majestic! I set my DVR to start recording at 3am this morning, so I will enjoy watching the rest of that soon.

I know some people aren't interested in this wedding and wonder why there is so much coverage of the event, but honestly I think it is so interesting - I love all of the pomp and circumstance! I have been interested in the monarchy and the royals for a long time.

My Mom has told me that we watched the wedding of Prince Charles & Princess Diana together when I was 3 years old. There's even a picture of us playing wedding together (unfortunately I couldn't find that photo for this post!).

Another reason I think I'm so interested in the wedding is Joel & I have visited London twice (and we would love to go back again!). London is a city full of history and is a beautiful place. I love all of the historical buildings - there is nothing like it in our country. I found some photos from our 2003 trip and it brought back some great memories.

Photos of Westminster Abbey (location of today's wedding) - we took a tour inside and it is absolutely gorgeous!

Outside Buckingham Palace - I remember we took this photo early in the morning (no crowds yet). We also took a tour of Buckingham Palace - what a majestic place!

We can't wait to go back to London someday!

  1. The Queen Victoria memorial is especially impressive at night with lights spotlighting it as shown on TV last night when all the people were gone from the area after the big event. Can imagine a sight-seeing trip around London is memorable to say the least. Mom B
